The process of the work completed by the students can be viewed by the teacher meaning increased assessment abilities
Multiple ways to assess the students

In regards to our sample lesson:

Students are able to spend less time on graphic design, which is not the focus of the unit.
The survey results are completed much faster due to the fact that the students do not have to distribute and re-collect the survey's.
The survey is easily distributed as the students give the link of the survey to whomever they wish to take the survey, this could be done by email or via the school newsletter.
Able to extend the survey beyond the immediate classroom through ease of distribution, including the parents or larger community.
The teachers are able to spend more time focusing on the actual aim of the task, rather than explaining how to create the survey, due to the ease of the program.
